Rendang

Beef Rendang

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Gravy Beef or Chicken Thigh fillet (Cut into cubes about 1 2)
  • 5 tablespoon of cooking oil
  • 3 pcs hard-boiled eggs (Cut in half)
  • 6 pieces lime leaves
  • 50 g desiccated coconut
  • 500 g coconut cream
  • jar TROPICANA RENDANG PASTE
  • Fried onion for garnishing

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a big saucepan.
  2. Stir fry desiccated coconut till a little brown (use low heat)
  3. Put TROPICANA RENDANG PASTE, lime leaves, and Beef or Chicken meat.
  4. Stir well, add water just enough to cover the meat.
  5. Bring to boil, stir occasionally, and simmer till meat is tender.
    (Approximate cooking time: Chicken: 15 – 20 minutes, Beef: 45 – 60 minutes)
  6. Garnish with fried onion.
  7. Serve with ssteamed rice.
